We Are God’s Masterpiece

“For we are God’s masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)) 

The wheels of life go round and round–working, serving, cleaning, cooking, paying bills…the list goes on and on.  It’s so easy to feel like your just going through the motions–just doing life.  You may feel a bit bedraggled, beaten up by life–ordinary.  God uses ordinary.  One little ordinary girl, Mary…as far as I know, we don’t even know her last name–became the mother of the Savior of the world.  God choose Joseph, a carpenter, to raise His Son.  The Bible is full of ordinary people, God used, to do God size work.

If you are still walking on this earth, taking in breathe, then God has a purpose for you.  God has a story for each and every one of us, we just have to live it out.  If we dare to live the story He has wrote for us:  it will stir our souls, transform our lives, and bring glory to the Father.  We’re not here to just take in air, take up space, and exist…were here to be Jesus’ hands and feet.  To do the work God had planned for us before the world was formed.

Don’t just go through the motions.  Be still long enough to hear God’s voice, pray for guidance to discern His will for your life,  and do kingdom work.  We are God’s masterpieces–all our broken pieces of clay are molded into a vessel that can be used by God.  He fills us up and we overflow into the world–reflecting God’s glory.

Satan wants us to be discouraged, to lose sight of the truth…the big picture.  He wants us stuck in the mundane.  He wants to steal our joy, passion, hope, and dreams so that we will know longer be effective for the kingdom of God.

Jesus, however, he came so that we might have life and have it abundantly.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

Let’s live life more abundantly…let’s live out the story God has wrote just for us.
