How Many Times Do I Have To Tell You? by Rachael Carman is a great little devotional for women.
Rachael has a way of speaking to one like a trusted friend…a friend who has allowed God’s Words to shape her life. She has taken her everyday experiences…gleaned from motherhood and woven them into a devotional that mothers and women will resonate with.
Short chapters that may be quickly read and implemented. God’s truths…simply explained and easily practiced.
Rachael reminds us that many of the principles we try to instill in our children’s lives are the very ones our Heavenly Father is trying to teach us.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye. (Matthew 7:3).
I truly enjoyed reading and learning from this devotional. I believe women of all ages could learn many valuable lessons from Rachael’s book.
How Many Times Do I Have to Tell You? would also make a wonderful baby shower gift.
I would give this devotional 4.5 stars!
About the book:How Many Times Do I Have to Tell You? (Apologia Educational Ministries, September 2014)
You’ve probably said these things to your kids, but have you listened to what you’re saying?
“I remember the day you were born.”
“Turn down the music!”
“This is going to hurt me more than it’s going to hurt you.”
“Hold my hand.”
Your heavenly Father wants to tell you many of these same things. Rachael Carman knows how noisy it can be when you’re raising children—she has seven! But this lovely devotional book will help you to hear God’s still, small voice amid the chaos of carpools, cut fingers, and carpet crawlers. You’ll learn how to recognize God’s instructions for you, even as you seek to follow His example as a parent.
