The word “rest” brings to mind: peace, tranquility, calm, and refreshment.
A time of slow, quiet, rejuvenation for one’s body, mind, and soul.
Essential for the human body.
“True silence is the rest of the mind; it is to the spirit what sleep is to the body: nourishment and refreshment. — William Penn

Kasey, it has been a hard lesson for me to learn…to get enough rest. I’ve always been afraid I would miss something exciting!! 🙂 Plus ministers are so bad at taking care of ourselves! But God has shown me in the last couple of years that we cannot be effective at what we do without proper self-care. Thanks for encouraging us all to seek the rest we need. Appreciate you linking up to Testimony Tuesday this week!

Holly, Yes…it’s not an easy thing to remember to rest when so many things are vying for our attention. But I have learned rest is essential for us to be fully functional. May God bless you with many opportunities to fully rest. Blessings, Kasey
