Old Man Winter has returned to my part of the world. His chill breath blows cold, dropping temperatures to single digits and below. Ground frozen stiff is dressed in a suit of white, tailor-made in heaven. Drifts, smooth and white–glittering like diamonds–fringe snow covered roads and fence enclosed fields. Long translucent icicles hold tight like stalactites from rooftops and eves.
Four-footed squirrels with brown bushy tails waving like flags, flitter about. Scurrying up trees, hopping limb to limb, and racing back down to the frozen ground leaving tiny tell-tale tracks across the snow. A flash or red from a cardinal not afraid to show his head brings color to the winterland of white.
Breath taking beauty (from the Creator up above) for those who choose to slow, long enough, to open their eyes and see.
Blessings, Kasey
Stunning photos, Kasey. I headed out this morning with my camera with the decision to embrace the new snow. It was such a refreshing walk and peaceful time with God.
Much love,

We’re in between those snow systems that keep barreling through the midwest. I don’t have the pristine white view you have yet, but it’s just a matter of time. 🙂
I do so love the beauty that God brings with the snow. Even as I might complain (here and there) about the cold, I am taking your challenge and basking in the beauty of His wintry portrait outside my window, Kasey! Blessings to you!

Yes, this has been a rather extreme winter. Here in Ohio they are predicting more snow tomorrow and this weekend; I imagine you will be getting more of the white stuff too. I used to really dislike all the cold weather, but now I truly enjoy the beauty of the snow. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, I love reading what others are thinking. Stay warm and enjoy a cup of hot tea. Blessings and peace to you, Kasey

Mel, Here in the US we’ve had an extreme winter. Snow, cold, snow since December. Some really don’t care for all the white stuff, but I think it’s really beautiful–God’s creations are amazing. We are in for another round of snow this afternoon and through the night. So glad you enjoyed the snow photos. Blessings, Kasey
