I’m connecting with Lisa-Jo’s Five Minute Friday blog; you blog for five minutes on one topic.
Today’s topic ordinary:
Isn’t, ordinary, the heartbeat of the family?
Aren’t ordinary people raising the next generation?
Aren’t ordinary people spreading God’s word?
Didn’t God choose an ordinary young girl and an ordinary carpenter to raise His Son?
Doesn’t God use ordinary people to do extraordinary things?
Although ordinary may look a bit mundane, commonplace, or even trivial, it’s often the instrument the Lord uses to impact the world. An ordinary mother…guiding, nurturing, training, nursing, teaching, and encouraging her children. An ordinary man going to an ordinary job…mundane, monotonous, and perhaps less than stimulating. Common everyday ordinary people impacting the world and the next generation.
Ordinary people, faithful to live out the life God has set before them, impacting others for God’s kingdom.
What may not look like much on first glance has greater power than we can imagine. Serving our families and others, gives our children and the rest world, a look at Jesus. Jesus born to ordinary earthly parents came not only to Save the the world, but to humble Himself and be a servant to the hurting people.
A nose wiped.
A diaper changed.
A hug given.
A kind word exchanged.
A cup of water given.
Food on the table.
What appears ordinary might actually be extraordinary…even radical, if done in love.
