God’s blessings are immeasurable, infinite. With each passing season He gives new gifts. As summer wanes and autumn’s cool winds, breeze in…it can only be of God. If we have a gift for too, long, we begin to take it for granted…grow complacent…close our eyes to the gifts at hand.
Eyes open wide…always intentionally looking…always expecting to find…the blessing that the Lord has given. A stance of thanksgiving. When we begin to thank God for His blessings…we begin to look, to see, our eyes grow wider and our hearts are filled with joy. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17.
When we begin to give thanks for all that we have been given…TIME…SLOWS! Be begin to experience the pleasure of…here and now. Give thanks…give thanks…give thanks to the Lord. Praise the LORD, Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 106:1.
Today large black clouds hover overhead promising to pour rain on the thirsty earth below. Field’s of tall green corn are melting into brown. Neighboring fields are brimming with beans turning yellow. Thistles of purple and asters of white and yellow keep company with goldenrod’s blooming face. Patches full of large orange pumpkins and orchard’s brimming with juicy red and green apples. God’s hand never rests…always blessing…always giving. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. 1 Timothy 4:4-5
