Family Camp

DSCN3419a   God has a plan for each one of us.  He uses the different seasons of our life to bring about the end result (we bring Him glory).  God is constantly refining us to be more like Him.  As we journey through life we will experience a great many circumstances:  birth, death, tears, laughter, grief, searching, discord, mending, a time to be quiet, and  a time to speak.  He uses it all, none is ever wasted, to bring about His likeness in us and He does this in His timing, not ours.  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28.

A time to be born and a time to die.

A time  to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.

A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.

A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.

A time to embrace and a time to turn away.

A time to search and a time to quit searching.

A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.

A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

A time to love and a time to hate.

A time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:2-8

Our Lord is a God of order.  We cannot do all things, at all times.  He has a season for each specific thing, He wishes to accomplish in our lives.  We too, need to realize that there are different times and different seasons in which we are to do things.

My husband and I are in a season of raising our children.  Our first mission is to our family.  This is our time to disciple our children to be mighty warriors for the Lord.  There are things we’ve had to say no to, in order, to accomplish our goal of meeting the needs of our children.  Sometimes we have to say no to good things, in order, to say yes to the best things.

Last weekend our church hosted a Family Camp, for families in our church.  It was a time for families to reconnect, rejuvenate, laugh, play, and spend time with God.  We had an absolute, great time.  I’ll let you see for yourself.

  1. Family Camp, how fun! This looks like an amazing experience. It’s wonderful to see families playing together, worshiping together, enjoying God’s Great Outdoors together.

    • Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It was an amazing weekend. Our church wanted to do something that families could do together. To encourage families to spend time together interacting, as a means to help strengthen the family. Blessings to you and your family, Kasey
