…And a threefold cord is not quickly broken Ecclesiastes 4:12b
Five Minute Friday 1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking. This weeks five minute Friday word is FALL.
We fall in love with the idea of marriage as a little girl and begin to dream of the big event. We picture our white dress, the color of our bridesmaid’s dresses, the flowers we will carry, and the type of cake we will serve. We know the season or perhaps even the month we will walk down the ailse. If it will be held in a grand chapel, a little country church, by the seashore, or a lawn wedding under a large white tent. And the star of the show, our tall, handsome groom in his black tux with a red rose on the lapel.
When we finally meet Mr. Right we fall head over hills in love. We image a life alone the lines of Cinderella. If the poor man had any idea how long we’d been dreaming of this day he’d probably run for the hills.
If we don’t want to fall out of love we need to remember to make our marriage a priority. After our relationship with God our mate should be the most important. Love is not a feeling it’s an action. We choose to love, just as Christ choose to love us, even when we were still sinner.
