Memories

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6

If we want to make memories we must first have experiences;  and if we want to have experiences we must make time for experiences.  Lasting memories are not made in the blink of an eye, they take… moments…seconds…minutes…T-I-M-E, not rushed or on the fly–unless you want to make memories of always being hurried or stressed.

We are all given the same twenty-four hours to do with as we choose.  If we allow our schedules to dictate how we spend our time we may find that there isn’t time for making memories.  Perhaps, we need to take a red pen to our planners.  Learn to say no and stop worrying about what everyone else’s doing. Be the unique person that God created you to be and make time for memories.

Plans don’t need to be grand or cost a lot of money to be memorable.  Just take some time and spend it with the ones you love.

My youngest daughter and I spent the day together a few weeks ago.  We went to a farmers market, a couple garage sales, and out to lunch.  We had a marvelous time.
