Five Minute Friday–write for five minutes about one topic, without edit. Today’s topic Friend
Friend…
Just as cookies come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors so do friends. No, two, fit the same mold. They are like our fingerprints, each uniquely different. A few friendships may last a lifetime, but most come in and out of our lives like the seasons in a year.
Friends help us to navigate through life–in the good times and the bad. They encourage us, build us up, and pray for us. They bring a sweet aroma to our lives.
Some friends make us laugh and help us to unwind. With some friends we share our deepest secrets and value their council. Others we work and serve beside.
Friends give hugs, a shoulder to cry on, and love and pray for us. They are the community that God uses to grow us into the people he wants us to be.
Friends are gifts, blessings for the Father up above.
A friend loves at all times… Proverbs 17:17a.

I have greatly appreciated friends who have realistic expectations for the amount of time I have to offer. You sweetly expressed the blessings of friendship especially when it based on a love in Jesus! Keep writing!
